Back to Church Sunday 2009 

Following another wonderful effort from our Churches in 2009 as part of the Back to Church Sunday initiative, I’m delighted to be able to report that there was on average a 14% increase in attendance for those Churches who took part.

Some of the comments are so encouraging  -

“One lady recently moved into the community and had been wanting to come. The invitation she received was what she needed to start coming.”

Mount Pleasant Baptist Pembroke 

“We had some people come along who had not been in worship for a long time, and also some local people in the community who took an interest after the publicity, including some youngsters brought by family members.  A good number stayed behind after the shorter than usual morning service for refreshments in the Vestry.”

Rehoboth Baptist Neath 

“One family turned up - two young parents with children. They stayed for the bring and share meal and have also come back to worship.”

Tabernacle Cardiff 

I trust this will encourage us all to be part of next year’s initiative on Sunday 26^th September 2010
